Goodnight 2007 Pinot Grigio Santa Ynez Valley (Firestone Vineyard)/Monterey County
Winemaker's Notes
There are enchanting notes of anise and fresh lime on the nose of this inviting white wine. On the mouth, it is abundant with flavors of Bartlett pear, Meyer lemons and white flowers. Our Goodnight Pinot Grigio is delightful year-round. During the summer months, it is the ideal sipping wines, and possesses a lovely, crisp, lively acidity.
During the autumnal holidays, it pairs very well with turkey with cranberry sauce, stuffing, and even pumpkin pie. During the December holidays, it pairs well with a wide range of fowl dishes, as well as vegetarian dishes like curried vegetables over a bed of cous-cous. Please remember to serve this wine with a very moderate chill, as serving it too cold will mask its delicate, citrus and floral components.
Lincourt 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Ynez Valley
Winemaker's Notes
Our La Cuesta Cabernet Sauvignon has become synonymous with approachability and certain fruitforward sensibility. Ideally, this wine should be consumed in its youth with foods that are rich and can sustain this wine’s fine-grain tannins and medium-bodied structure. Ripe huckleberries, briar patch fruit and backyard plum are evident on the nose. On the palate, this wine demonstrates dark-tones of blackberries, new tobacco leaf and dark chocolate. Pairs well with rack of lamb infused with rosemary and cabernet au jus, a simple BBQ hamburger or cream-based cheeses.
Sebastiani 2007 Sonoma County Chardonnay
Winemaker's Notes
Light gold color. The wine has peach, pear, yellow apple and malted vanilla aromas. The flavor is medium to full bodied with yellow apple and tropical fruits with crème brulee oak flavors. The finish is soft with lingering, yeasty and wood flavors from the barrel fermentation. This is a richer, more full bodied vintage that has abundant Chardonnay fruit flavors and varietal character.
Sebastiani 2007 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winemaker's Notes
This wine has a beautiful, medium crimson color with both fresh cherry and Marachino cherry aromas jumping out the glass with hints of oriental spice, vanilla and mocha. The texture is silky and elegant with intoxicating cherry/berry fruit flavors that make it appealing to drink now. Lingering cherry and spice continue on the palate with soft tannins that allow for early drinkability. However, the acidity is there, along with the oak to still frame the fruit. This is our most varietal and elegant style of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir made to date!
Sebastiani 2005 Sonoma County Merlot
Winemaker's Notes
In the glass, this Merlot is very darkly colored garnet and violet. This concentration is carried through to the palate, where the long growing season lends a unique blend of ripe black cherry, plum and blueberry, balanced by notes of green tea and bay leaf. This vintage is very fruit-forward and accessible, although the smooth, velvety tannins promise that it can age well for several years. A finish of sweet oak, baking chocolate and blackberry lingers on the palate, making the Merlot easy to pair with salmon, tomato-based sauces and grilled meats.
